Mead once Was Saunders

The Saunders, Nebraska postoffice was established, February 15, 1877, with Joseph B. Sturdevant as postmaster. The name of this office was changed to Mead on August 4, 1880, and Mr. Sturdevant was the postmaster. He was replaced on March 2, 1883 by Charles Ostenberg.
