Missouri Railroad in Nebraska. This company came before the
County Commissioners with a proposition asking of the county her

their road. This proposition was submitted to a vote of the
people at an election ordered for the 8th of May, 1869, with the
following result: Number of votes polled, 431; for bonds and tax,
267; against bonds and tax, 167; majority for bonds, 97. The
proposition was declared carried at a meeting of the Board, May
27. This election shows an increase of forty-eight votes since
the previous October.
