Mead Methodist Episcopal Church

Built In 1885

The Methodist Episcopal Church of Mead was constructed in 1885. The first official board of the church was composed of  five members: Levi Wells, Fletcher Gregory, A. W. Wells, S. P. Robinson, and L B. Lemar.

The first regular pastor to occupy the pulpit was J. M. Willis. Those to succeed him up to the year 1902 were: T. C. Clark, J. D. Day, D. Y. Black, W. K. Williams, E. B. Crippen, W. H. Turrell, David Fetz, Samuel Keiser, E. K. Adrance, H. P. Young, P. J. Lawson, I. W. Kennagy, A. Partch, M.E. Gilbert.

Board members in the year 1902 were: I. B. Lemar, Swan Perrish, W. J. Pinkerton, D. H. Thompson, William Gray, Mrs. Fred N. Williams, Miss Esther Wells, and Miss Beda Parrish.
