Gustafson Was Old Settlers 10th President

The Old Settlers Association honored C. H. Gustafson, of Mead by electing him as their tenth president and he served the association in that capacity faithfully and well, from 1908 until 1915.

Mr. Gustafson was born in Rockford, Illinois, April 1, 1869, and came to Nebraska December 24, 1869, locating on Section 2, Township 14, Range 8, east of the sixth Principal Meridian, the farm lying one half mile south of Mead.

Mr. Gustafson was united in marriage to Miss Anna M. Watson of Mead, in 1893, and they moved to a farm adjoining the old homestead.
